An Interest-Based Nervous System

We explore why the medical model approach isn’t always helpful and what a more holistic, neuro-inclusive approach looks like in practice.

- Options for online or face to face.
- Ranges from 2.5hrs to 5hrs with optional experiential break out learning.

Autism workshop
Autism - reducing the noise
This workshop assumes no prior knowledge of autism. It gives you an understanding of how the medical model views being autistic, and how that affects people and culture. It then explores a neuro-affirming view of being autistic and appropriate language around the subject. Moving on then to exploring how autistic people experience the world differently in three main areas of sensory, processing and communication, before diving into what that means for your work - including ethics and the law.
- Delivered by neurodivergent counsellors who specialise in working in neurodivergence.
- Options for online or face to face.
- Ranges from 2.5hrs to 5hrs with optional experiential break out learning.
