Description
This introductory workshop provides foundational knowledge in what ADHD is, what life is like for people with ADHD in today’s world, and reflections on working with people with ADHD.
The training is delivered by counsellors Clare Kingsbury and Jen Harrison, two ADHDers who specialise in working with neurodivergent clients and are passionate about sharing their own learning and understanding.
It is suitable for anyone looking to understand ADHD outside the medical model/definition, and therefore develop their skills in supporting ADHD people.
Watch along at your own pace with access to a video-based version of the training and a PDF of the slides. Also includes handouts on procrastination and sleep in relation to ADHD.

What people have said about the course:
“Thank you Clare and Jen for an amazing training. This was advertised as an introduction – in reality I felt it was a very in depth look at ADHD, covering everything from scientific information to invaluable personal perspectives and included useful ways of working with and supporting clients with ADHD traits. I found the discussion on whether therapists should highlight these traits to clients if they are unaware particularly helpful. The accompanying presentation notes were also an excellent resource and reminder. Excellent value for money!”
“Interesting and informative, a good mix of science, research and both personal and professional experiences. Excellent introduction to working with neurodiverse clients. I would very much value further training, maybe a full day to include case study examples etc. Thank you Clare and Jen.”
